Initially founded in 1952, the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is one of the oldest film festivals on earth. In fact, it is one of Melbourne’s four main festivals centred on the art of film – which also includes the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, the Melbourne International Animation Festival and the Melbourne Underground Film Festival.
This year, the festival will run from the 28th of July, through to the 14th of August. Awards include those offered for feature films, short films and the prestigious Grand Prix for Best Short Film.

2016 AFL Grand Final
After the Melbourne Cup, the AFL Grand Final is perhaps Australia’s biggest and most renowned annual sporting event. Previously a game only for Victorians to enjoy, Australian Rules Football has become a national game and its influence is quickly spreading overseas.
This year, the stage is set for October the 1st, 2016. With the closest competition that we have seen for almost a decade, it could be anyone’s guess to see who ends up making it to the 2016 AFL Grand Final.
Regardless of who plays in the big game; it is expected to attract a massive audience of nearly 100,000 spectators – one of the most thrilling atmospheres you will ever see!
If dancing is not your cup of tea, book yourself in for the 2016 World Wrestling Entertainment Tour on the 11th August 2016. Watch your favourite wrestling stars grapple with their opponents. This is one night of clinch fighting you won’t want to miss.
